Mike Craver is one of the original member of the Red Clay Ramblers from 1974 to 1986. He graduated from Lexington Senior High School and attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In the mid-1980s, Craver became involved in theatre in New York, as a writer, performer, and music director.

Matthew Weaver is a musician from Salisbury, North Carolina. He studied history and Appalachian music at Appalachian State University in 2008.
