Variant namesThe United Cement, Lime, and Gypsum Workers International Union (UCLGWIU), Local 24 was formally established in 1939 in Zanesville, Ohio at the Columbia Cement Division plant. It was initially Local #18457. The UCLGWIU became the Cement, Lime, and Gypsum and Allied Workers Division of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Shipbuilders Blacksmiths, Forgers, and Helpers in the mid-1980s.
