Hans G. Proskauer was born in Breslau, now Wrocław, Poland, on October 15, 1915 and died in New York City on December 6, 2006. After moving to the United States, he changed his first name to Henry. A trained architect, Proskauer practiced in several firms in New York City, including Carson & Lundin and Hart, Jerman & Associates, and was also in partnership with Joseph A. Prisant.
