Planters of Beech Island and Redcliffe plantations, Aiken County, S.C.; Marcus Claudius Marcellus Hammond (1814-1876) was brother of James H[enry] Hammond (1807-1864) and John Fox Hammond (1820-1886); collection documents lives of families united by the 1882 marriage of Annie Sarah Hammond (1846-1927) to George Osborne Walker (1846-1897) and the uion of M.C.M. Hammond and Harriett P. Davies.
