The George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon is a resource for scholars, students, and all those interested in George Washington, colonial America, and the Revolutionary and founding eras.
The 45,000 square-foot facility is located across the street from the Mount Vernon estate and contains Washington’s books and manuscripts, and many additional 18th-century books, as well as thousands of 19th-century newspapers, manuscripts, and documents.
