Edward E. Mahalak (democrat, Ninety-second District) was elected to the House of Representatives in 1964. He served until 1984. A graduate of Wayne State University and Detroit College of Law, Mahalak was a justice of the peace (Romulus, Michigan) for three consecutive four terms, beginning in 1955. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Memberships in organizations include the Saint Aloysius Ushers Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9568, and the Polish Legion of American Veterans, Post 7.
