John O. Coppock was born March 12, 1914, in Peru, Indiana. He was an economist for United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) in Athens, Greece from 1945 to 1947. He was a member of the U.S. Government (foreign aid programs) missions to Greece from 1947 to 1949. He worked as a correspondent for the McGraw-Hill International Corp. in Paris, France, from 1954 to 1956, and was a government advisor for Robert Nathan Associates in Rangoon, Burma from 1956 to 1957, and worked as an economist for the U.S. Department of State from 1961 to 1963. Coppock died in December 1966.
