Leon Eisenberg, 1922-, AB, 1944, MD, 1946, University of Pennsylvania, came to Boston in 1967 as head of the psychiatric service at Massachusetts General Hospital and Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. In 1973, Eisenberg was appointed Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and was named Maude and Lillian Presley Professor of Psychiatry in 1974. Eisenberg served as Chairman of the Department of Social Medicine and Health Policy from 1980 to 1991.
