Graduate Theological Union Student Association
Historical Note
The Student Association was begun in 1968. Though the records in this collection run only to 1972, the Association did not end in that year. An ending date is unknown. As stated in 1970, like everything else at the GTU, the Association was "of recent origin and is in a continuous state of process. However, three basic needs called it into being:
- To take an active part in helping to determine the shape, quality, and direction of the educational process in which we have so great a stake.
- To provide a focus for various activities having to do with student interests and concerns beyond academic affairs.
- To promote a higher degree of academic and social interchange among graduate students."
