The Orange County Social Services Agency operates under the policy direction of the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the California Departments of Social Services and Health Services.
The Agency administers mandated Federal, State, and County social service programs that protect children and adults from abuse or neglect, enable the frail and disabled to remain in their homes rather than being institutionalized, support the transition of families from dependency to self-sufficiency, and provide program benefits for eligible Medi-Cal, Food Stamps, CalWORKs, Refugee, and General Relief recipients.
