Wolfe, Walter M. (Walter Matson), 1859-1932
Variant namesBorn in New York City, 28 March 1859. Convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1890. Teacher at Brigham Young Academy (Provo, Utah), 1894-1902; member of the academy's South American expedition led by Benjamin Cluff, 1900-1901. Missionary in England, 1902-1904, where he was an associate editor of the Millennial Star in 1904. Professor of geology and theology at Brigham Young College (Logan, Utah), 1904-1906. Severed his ties with the Church of Jesus Christ, 1906. Subsequently resided in Parkville, Missouri, where he died, 23 March 1932.
