Battle, Cullen A. (Cullen Andrews), 1829-1905
Variant namesCullen Andrews Battle was a lawyer who served as a major general for the Confederates in the Civil War. In 1861 he organized the Tuskegee Light Infantry which was attached to the 3rd Alabama. Battle and his regiment fought at Seven Pines, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spottsylvania, Winchester, and Cedar Creek. After the war he returned to his law practice.
