Educational psychologist Harry Singer was educated at Western Reserve University (B.S., 1949; M.A., 1952) and at the University of California, Berkeley (Ph.D., 1960). He began teaching at the University of California, Riverside, in 1966. There he held numerous administrative, research, and teaching posts, including Chairman of the Faculty, School of Education. His research interests included the teaching of reading in elementary schools.
