Wilson, Basil W.

Basil W. Wilson was a consulting oceanographic engineer based in Pasadena, California. Wilson was a professor of Engineering Oceanography at Texas A&M University from 1952-1961. From 1961 to 1964 he conducted studies for the National Engineering Science Company in Pasadena, California. Wilson went into private practice in 1968 as a consulting oceanographic engineer whose work included earthquake occurrence and effects in ocean areas, tsunami hazards, surge studies in Long Beach harbor, and wave problems involving the dynamic behavior of offshore structures and the mooring of supertankers.
