Sweitzer, Mary Kugler, 1778-1855
Variant namesMary (Polly) Kugler Sweitzer ( - ), of Philadelphia, Pa., was the wife of Henry Sweitzer, or Heinrich Schweitzer ( -1808?), a German printer and publisher in Philadelphia during the period 1796 to 1808. Included among his publications was the Pennsylvanische Correspondez. He was also secretary of the German Society. Mary Kugler Sweitzer entered business in her own right as a stationer in 1811 and remained in business until 1817.
