Carl Mills was a linguist and an English professor at the University of Cincinnati. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in 1975. His research interests included Sociolinguistics, Stylistics, Dialectology, Discourse Analysis, and Quantitative Linguistics. He wrote one book: American Grammar: Sound, Form, and Meaning, and numerous articles, reviews, and papers.
