Lubicon Lake Indian Nation
Variant namesThe Lubicon Lake Cree Indian Band has been engaged in negotiations and efforts to settle their land claim since 1939. The Canadian Provincial Government had allowed the development of the land by oil companies and other industries which had lasting effects on the economy and social culture of the Lubicon Lake Band.
