Barras, John B.

Elizabeth Barras, daughter of Philadelphia tailor John B. Barras, was a young student at the Moravian Seminary for Young Ladies in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, between 1838 and 1840. Little is known about her family, except that her younger sister Charlotte probably also attended the seminary. The first name of her mother is never revealed. Elizabeth later married Thomas S. Martin, and was widowed and living in Philadelphia in 1900.
