Bergman, Esther.
Esther Bergman is a native of Belgium who fled with her family to the unoccupied area of France in order to avoid deportation to the East. Bergman was cared for by a French Huguenot family and became very close to the daughter of that family, Madame Odette Hofbauer. Bergman emigrated to the United States in Dec 1947. She presently resides in Potomac, Maryland.
