Vander Lugt, William, 1902-1993.
Vander Lugt received his bachelors degree from Calvin College in 1927 and his masters and Ph. D. in philosophy from the University of Michigan. He joined the faculty of Hope College in 1954 as professor of philosophy and dean of the college. From 1970-1972 (when Hope was without a president), Vander Lugt served as chancellor. He retired from the college in 1972.
