Robert R. Lahue was born August 3, 1921 in Swanton, Vermont. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy on December 10, 1940 and was on board for the christening of the U. S. S. Ringgold, a Fletcher-class destoyer, on December 24, 1942. Lahue served on the U. S. S. Ringgold as a Water Tender, First Class until her decommissioning on March 23, 1946. Robert R Lahue died March 14, 1999.
