Becknell, James H., 1804-1872.
In 1860, J.H. Becknell was a resident of Pickens District, S.C.; husband of Sarah Ann Defreese (1814-1882), and father of John Watts Becknell (1840-1864) and eight other children, one of whom, "William" is described as "idiotic" in the U.S. Census of 1860.
