Thomas Craven was born on Feb. 7, 1893 in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Boston Latin School in 1913 and from Boston College in 1917. At Boston College, Craven played on the varsity football team and served as the team's manager in his senior year. After graduation, Craven volunteered for military service and served as a hospital sergeant in the Medical Department of the U.S. Army's Air Service. After the war, he served as an administrator for several Boston-area schools. Craven died in 1987.
