Roderick K. Shaw was the Business Manager of Florida State University.

General.

Joseph Finegan was born in Clones, Ireland, on November 17, 1814. He migrated in his early twenties to Florida, where he was a planter and a lumber company in Jacksonville. He later moved to Fernandina and worked in railroad construction. On April 5, 1862, Finegan was commissioned brigadier general in the Confederate Army. He became commander of the District of Middle and East Florida, and commanded troops in various battles in Florida and Virginia, and was in the Florida senate 1865-1866.
