Ruth Hartman was hired as an Assistant Professor of Librarianship by Central Washington State College on July 1, 1965 assigned to reference with the special assignment of building a documents collection. On July 1, 1973, Ms. Hartman was promoted to Associate Professor and served as Head of Documents, Maps, and Microforms Department until her retirement on June 30, 1985.
Thomas Yeh was hired as a Reclassification Librarian by Central Washington State College in October of 1965. In 1967 he was assigned to be Head of the Reclassification Project. From 1969 to 1972, Mr. Yeh served as a Cataloging Librarian becoming Head of Cataloging Department in 1973. Mr. Yeh also served as an Exchange Professor at Anhui University, China in 1983 and 1984. On October 1, 1985 he became Head of the Documents, Maps, and Microform Department, a position he held until his retirement in 2004.
