Text from first paragraph of document: "At its meeting in New York on June 15, 1944, the Student Relocation Council discussed at some length the apathy, apprehensiveness, and misconceptions that are so often a part of relocation center life. It was felt that nisei students who themselves have relocated could make a real contribution at this point by returning to their home Projects for four to six weeks during their summer vacations. Therefore, it was voted to invite the church and other organizations who support the work of the Council to sponsor return trips for a few nisei college leaders."

From the description of Final composite report of the returnee Nisei college leaders, summer of 1944. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 122445678
