Chilgren, Richard A.

Richard A. Chilgren was born on February 4, 1937. He earned his B.S. degree from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN) in 1959 and his M.D. in 1963 from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Dr. Chilgren joined the staff at the University of Minnesota's department of pediatrics in 1964 as a resident. He became chief resident in January 1966, medical fellow specialist in July 1966 and assistant professor in 1968. In 1971, Dr. Chilgren became the director of the program in human sexuality. In 1976, he resigned as director, amid funding cuts to the program.
