John E. Kirksey was the elected McCracken County, Kentucky attorney from 1932 to 1949. He also served on the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and was president of the county attorneys' association. Kirksey's was also McCracken County chairperson for the reelection campaigns of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Senator M. M. Logan in 1936.
