McAllister, Robert, 1813-1891
Variant namesRobert McAllister was a major general who served in the Civil War in the 1st New Jersey Volunteer Infantry and the 11th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry. He fought at Gettysburg and in the battles of the Wilderness, Spotsylvania and the Petersburg campaign. Fred C. Low was a captain in Company B of the 1st Maine Heavy Artillery. After the war, he was a photographer in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and later lived in Bangor, Maine.
