Rathbone, Henry Reed, 1837-1911
Variant namesAssistant adjutant general of volunteers with the rank of major, appointed by Abraham Lincoln. He was married to Clara Harris, daughter of New York senator Ira T. Harris. He and Clara accompanied the Lincolns to the theatre the night of the assassination.
