Conard, Francis P.,

The first tennis group of Sierra Madre formed in 1888. There is no information discussing the tennis activities that took place between the formation of the first group and the early 1910s, when a second tennis club was established. From roughly 1914 to 1936, this group played tennis at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Francis P. Conard, located at 33 West Mira Monte. The dates written on the reverse of the images suggest that this group met annually on the Fourth of July.
