Goodsell, Jane
Jane Neuberger Goodsell was born in 1921 in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from Reed College in 1942 with a degree in English literature. She began writing in the 1950s and published many children's books between 1965 and 1988. Her humor column, From Soup to Nonsense, was syndicated nationally. She lived all her life in Portland, Oregon, and died in 1988. The collection was a gift of her daughter, Kate Goodsell Marquez.
