Redeemer Lutheran Church (Portland, Or)

The Evangelical Church of the Redeemer was organized in January of 1920 by Field Missionary T. A. Schoenberg. In February the congregation purchased property on the corner of NE 15th and Wygant, where the congregation worshipped until 1952. The first unit of the present building was dedicated in June, 1952. In November of 1965 the expanded facilities were dedicated, bringing Sunday School and worship space under one roof for the first time in eight years.
