Gardner, Albert Ten Eyck

Albert Ten Eyck Gardner (1909-1967) was Associate Curator of Paintings and Sculpture in the American Art Dept. of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1956 until his death. He wrote several books on American art, as well as numerous articles and special studies on 18th and 19th century American paintings and sculptures. Winslow Homer, American Artist: His world and His Work was published in 1961.
