Newcomb, Samuel
Variant namesSamuel P. and Susan E. Newcomb were pioneers of Shackleford County, Texas, who were among those who "forted up" at Fort Davis, near the Stevens County, Texas, line, during the Civil War. They kept diaries during the 1860s and 1870s.
