Temperance Society of the New Hampshire Medical Institution.
Medical Institution students formed the short-lived Temperance Society believing "it is the duty of all, who regards the welfare of society, to exert whatever of influence they may command to discourage the use of such [intoxicating] substances" as alcohol, tobacco, and opium.
