St. Clair, John, Sir.

Lieutenant colonel on Gen. Edward Braddock's staff and deputy quartermaster general of British forces in North America.

Appointed quartermaster in Nov., 1754, St. Clair was wounded in the 1755 ambush in which Braddock was killed. He never recovered and was replaced as quartermaster in 1758.
