Biography

Hermann Becks was born in Wesel am Rhine, Germany, in 1897; received medical training at University of Rostock in Germany, and DDS from University of California at Berkeley, 1933; known for his research and publications in dentistry and experimental biology; chairman, Oral Biology Department at University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry; awarded Fauchard Medal for contributions to oral medicine, 1958.
