Thomas Hume, Irish-born physician in London. A friend of the poet Thomas Moore, Dr. Hume and his wife Caroline were the court-appointed foster parents of Charles and Ianthe, the children of Percy Bysshe Shelley with Harriet Westbrook, following the suicide of their mother.
