Lemuel Madison Park (1846-1916), Civil War veteran and president of Park Cotton Mills and Park Hotel in LaGrange (Ga.), appears to have been president of the Commercial Union Insurance Company in Atlanta (Ga.) during the early part of the twentieth century. In 1914 he ran unsuccessfully for State Treasurer. His brother, Robert Emory Park (1943-1909), was a high school principal, Emory College trustee, and Georgia State Treasurer (1900-1909).
