Festival founded in 1983 by Yvar Mikhashoff and Jan Williams, faculty members of the University at Buffalo Music Department and well-known advocates for contemporary and avant-garde art music. Annual festivals usually comprised several concerts and related events at multiple Buffalo-area locations over a period of several days. Festivals were held in March or April in the years between 1983 and 1992, in October of 1992, in February of 1995, and in April of 1996.
