Represented are four generations of the Page family of Hanover County, Va., beginning with Francis Page (1780-1849), father of John Page (1821-1901). Mainly represented, however, are John Page (1821-1901), farm owner and lawyer, and his wife Elizabeth Burwell (Nelson) Page (1821-1912), and their children, Francis (i.e. Frank) Page (1848-1918), minister; Thomas Nelson Page (1853-1922), lawyer, writer, and diplomat; and Rosewell Page (1858-1939), lawyer, legislator, and writer. Also represented are Robert Nelson (1819-1886), missionary to China; his wife, Rose (Points) Nelson (1827-1885); their daughter, Ruth (Nelson) Page (1871-1975?), wife of Rosewell Page; Anne (Page) Johns (b. 1899), daughter of Rosewell and Ruth; her husband, Frank Stoddert Johns (1884-1971); and Julien Harrison Hill (1877-1943), father-in-law of Ruth Nelson (Johns) Hill, daughter of Anne (Page) Johns and Frank Stoddert Johns.
