Founded in 1920 by Anna E. Hendley, Jesse C. Suter, and Mrs. Johan C. Kondrup; purpose was to bring together native District of Columbia residents in order to promote the study of the district's history and to create an arena in which native Washingtonians could voice their opionion about district civic affairs; society dissolved in the mid-1950s.
