Ella F. Elliot, 1868-1962, was born at Newton, MA. At an early age, Miss Elliot moved with her family to Sommerville, where she spent her adult years. A genealogist by profession, Miss Elliot researched 92 New England families, many on behalf of Georgiana Guild, genealogist for the Providence, R.I. chapter of the Colonial Dames of America. She also pursued research on the work her father, Charles Darwin Elliot (1837-1908), had begun on Elliot and related families. Ella became a life member of NEHGS in 1902.
