Illinois Society for Respiratory Therapy.
State affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Therapy. Founded in 1947 as the Illinois Inhalation Therapy Association, the name has changed several times, with the current name being the Illinois Society for Respiratory Care. ISRT encourages and develops educational programs in respiratory care; facilitates cooperation between respiratory care personnel and the medical community; strives to advance all aspects fo respiratory care; and insures strict adherence to the principles of the Society's code of ethics.
