Keith McKeddie Doig was born in Dec. 1891, attended Geelong College and obtained his medical qualifications at the University of Melbourne. He served with the Australian Military Forces and was appointed to the Australian Imperial Force with the rank of Captain on 1 May 1916. He served with the Australian Army Medical Corps, with the 8th Field Ambulance, as Resident Medical Officer for the 60th Battalion, and at the 1st Australian General Hospital, Rouen. He attained the rank of Major and was awarded the Military Cross in 1918. He was repatriated to Australia on 23 July 1919 and died in 1949. George Cameron Doig was his brother.
