  • 1881: Graduated, Aleksandrovskoe Voennoe Uchilishche, St. Petersburg
  • 1887: Graduated, Nikolaevskaia Akademiia General'nago SHtaba
  • 1905 - 1907 : Took part in the Russo-Japanese War. Promoted to Major-General
  • 1912: Appointed Chief of Staff of the Kazan' Military District and promoted to Lieutenant-General
  • 1913: Appointed Chief-of-Staff of the Caucasus Military District
  • 1914 - 1915 : Appointed Commander of the Caucasus and promoted to General-of-Infantry for victories in the Erzerum and Trapezund campaigns
  • 1917: Removed from command by the Provisional Government
  • 1918: Escaped to Finland and later Estonia
  • 1919: Appointed Commander-in-Chief of the White forces in the North-Western Military Sector and subsequently Minister of War in the Government of the North-West by Admiral Kolchak
  • 1920: Interned with his army in Estonia after failure of Petersburg campaign
  • 1933: Died in Cannes, France
