Garfield School (Olympia, Wash.)

The scrapbook is a compilation of letters from Washington authors in response to letters by members of the eighth grade literature class of Garfield School in Olympia, WA. The scrapbook was illustrated by members of the eighth grade art classes. The art work page designs and illustrations in the scrapbook were by Erva Noble, Iris Isom, Virginia Sergeant. The scrapbook contains the responses to the students' letters but does not contain the students' request letter. The illustrations and designs of the scrapbook appear to be created with color pencils. Some of the letters from the authors are typewritten with a signature. Other letters are hand-written by the author. The scrapbook also contains a few photographs.
