Architect. Olaf Skipper Nielsen was a supervising architect during the construction of the Sydney Opera House from 1960 until June 1965. Olaf Skipper Nielsen was born in Denmark in 1922. He graduated from the Royal Academy in 1951, was a member of the Architect's Union and worked in Kenya, England and Greenland before moving to Sydney, as Jorn Utzon's Site Representative, in 1961 to work on the Opera House. He returned to Denmark in 1965 and moved to England in 1968 where he died on 29th October 1995.
