Thomas Roberts, also known as Scorpion.
Thomas Roberts was also known by his pseudonym, Scorpion. He was born in 1816 in Denbigh and attended the school of Michael Jones in Llanuwchllyn before becoming a student at Brecon Memorial College.
As a congregational minister, he served at Llanuwchllyn, Merioneth and later moved to Newmarket, Flintshire in 1856 and then Llanrwst, Denbighshire in 1858. He was one of the great writers of his day, contributing articles to Y Dysgedydd and Yr Haul . He died in 1887.
